  • Measurable: How will you track your progress? Is it through a weighing scale, your strength, endurance, or your emotions?
  • Achievable: Don’t overwhelm yourself with ambitious goals. Start small before going big. This approach also prevents you from burning out in the long run.
  • Realistic: How feasible are your efforts? The more real they are, the more likely you will persevere to the end.
  • Time-Bound: You need a deadline to create a sense of urgency and consistency. It can range from as short as a week to as long as a year but have an end time in mind, not only an end goal.
  • Stay Consistent: Hitting the gym can be intimidating, and it often feels like a chore. But it doesn’t have to be hard work. Focusing on yourself and taking responsibility for your actions can make it easier to reach your health goals.
